How often do you see products in the stores that say “Anti-Bacterial”? Almost everywhere! From anti bacterial cleaning products to sponges and cutting boards, everything says antibacterial. But there are very good reasons why you should NOT purchase anything that says antibacterial. These products are encouraging the mutation of superbugs that are becoming resistant to antibacterial products as well as antibiotics. This is very dangerous because if these superbugs cannot be destroyed, they will make many people sick, with no treatment options. Instead of buying antibacterial products try using essential oils, they can kill off bacteria in your home safely and effectively without contributing to the rise of superbugs. I love using a diffuser for my essential oils because it provides a wonderful scent in my house without filling the air with toxic chemicals from burning candles. However, there are other ways of receiving therapeutic effects from essential oils without the use of a diffuser. You can also enjoy the benefits by using them in the shower! I love using citrus bliss in my morning showers and breathe or serenity in my evening shower or baths. At nighttime, I love using a gently spray of lavender or serenity on my pillow and bed and in the morning I add a drop of citrus bliss or peppermint on my diffuser bracelet. There are so many ways to use essential oils aromatically and you have so many choices of essential oils depending on your mood or needs!

I used to be fooled by tricky marketing, I found essential oils that said “100% pure” “organic” …etc But guess what?! Most of these essential oils are not 100% pure! There is no one regulating what goes into that bottle, the FDA has a loose regulation that states that there should be at least 10% pure oil in the bottle.. but what else is that company putting in the bottle? doTERRA is at THE top of their game with regards to oil purity and quality. Geranium is more than just a flower! Essential oil from geranium is an amazing solution for your skin health! Geranium essential oil is nontoxic, nonirritant and has many therapeutic properties, including anti aging benefits.

Add two drops of geranium oil to your face lotion and apply it twice daily to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

As we age our teeth might have accumulated some stains over the years. I personally try to stay away from chemical based products and search for natural alternatives and found this recipe for a natural tooth brightener!

Strawberries have a slight beaching effect and if used daily, may help rid the teeth of minor stains.

Ingredients:

1 medium strawberry with stem

1 drop peppermint essential oil

Mash strawberry into a pulp. Add peppermint essential oil and mix well. Dip toothbrush into pulp mixture and brush normally. Rinse thoroughly
