Lavender Facial Scrub

Lavender Sugar Face Scrub

1 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp sugar
3 drops Lavender Essential Oil

How you do it:

Combine coconut oil and sugar in a small bowl, and stir to combine. Rub sugar face scrub into clean facial or neck skin, using gentle circular motions, for 60 seconds. Rinse dry with warm water.

You can increase the ratios to make more of the mix, and store for up to 3 months. If you live in a hotter climate, you may want to store this mixture in the fridge, as coconut oil has a relatively low melting point.

Use this on your face 2-3 times a week to help keep your skin looking healthy

Facial Toner for Occasional Breakouts

Sometimes I will get breakouts on my skin during the month or when I am stressed so I like using a homemade toner with melaleuca to help keep my skin clear. Btw- you can get melaleuca for free today (July 18) with the BOGO!

Mix 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar with 10 drops melaleuca. Store in a glass jar and dip a cotton swab in the mix and apply all over the face. Allow it to dry then apply moisturizer. Repeat morning and night.

Toilet Tabs with Spearmint and Tangerine

When I clean the bathrooms I like to use toilet tabs to help them smell better but also to help them clean. Try this recipe using the Tangerine and Spearmint essential oils (that are available through today’s BOGO!)

Ingredients:

2 cups baking soda

1 cup salt

½ cup water

¼ cup liquid castile soap (any scent)

15 drops Tangerine or Wild Orange oil

15 drops Spearmint oil

Instructions:

Combine baking soda and salt into bowl.

Add castile soap and essential oil into mixture.

Add water 1 tablespoon at a time while stirring with hands until it forms into the consistency of “damp sand.” It should stay together when you press it together. If you add too much water just add some more baking soda and salt until the consistency is right.

Pack mixture tightly into a small silicone mold. If you don’t have a silicone mold, just grab a tablespoon measurement device and scoop packed spoonfuls onto parchment paper.

Let mixture dry for 24 hours or until hard.
