May 15, 2016 By April Unruh Leave a Comment

When your child has a cold and develops a cough it is difficult to figure out what to do. I try not to give my kids any over the counter medication if possible so I am always looking for natural remedies. So I have put together a list of tips to try next time your child has a cough.

Essential Oils for Anti Aging: Immortelle

May 14, 2016 By April Unruh Leave a Comment

ImmortelleImmortelle is one of my favorite anti aging skin care product that doTERRA carries. I roll a small amount into my hand then add a small amount of moisturizer and mix. I apply to my entire face morning and night. I started noticing differences in my skin after a couple weeks of using this product regularly. It contains so many essential oils that are very beneficial for skin health. The perfect combination of essential oils have been selected and blended into this proprietary formula which provides remarkable benefits to help maintain skin’s well-being and beauty.

This Blend of oils is great for supporting healthy skin and helping with any skin concerns. These Essential oils soothe sensitive, delicate and red skin. Balance over or under active skin by regulating sebaceous secretions. This blend can greatly reduce unwanted pathogens, as well as other related skin problems. These oils promote the release and removal of metabolic wastes that block oxygenation and can increase aging.

Here are some of the oils that Immortelle contains, along with their benefits.

Frankincense: The therapeutic properties of Frankincense essential oil in skincare include that of being purifying, astringent, diuretic, and tonic. With all these good therapeutic properties, it is a powerful ally in the fight to keep wrinkles at bay, while at the same time improving the tone and quality of the complexion, even in more mature skins.

Sandalwood: helps with unwanted pathogens, reduce redness/puffiness, and purification.

Lavender: Lavender actively demonstrates Positive Effect on Skin for a variety of skin concerns.

Myrrh: Myrrh is a very powerful essential oil from ancient times. The Arabian people used myrrh for many skin conditions, such as chapped skin and wrinkles. Helps with stinky feet, promotes clear skin, conditions of the mouth, helps alleviate stomach discomfort.

Helichrysum: Good for your dry skin and hair. Encourages production of your own natural oils in your skin and scalp. Helichrysum also increases the ability of your skin and scalp to hold in water. It reduces redness/puffiness, which is good for dry skin because it reduces skin irritation and puffiness that so often accompany the dryness.

Rose: Rose Oil works very well with Frankincense; Rose helps with unwanted pathogens and has purifying qualities. Rose Oil benefits all skin types, especially mature, sensitive, dry, or damaged skin. It helps restore the moisture balance and smoothes wrinkles. It soothes and comforts skin concerns. This blend is amazing for anti aging benefits.

Directions: Apply sparingly to face and neck, after cleansing, prior to serum and/or moisturizer. Pay special attention to age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. Or add a small amount to your morning and evening moisturizer and apply all over face.
